I remember as a small child asking the Lord for two specific things. To let me get married and to write a book. One down and one to go. Thank you, Lord. It was taking too long to accomplish the second so the Lord just whisked me right out of my comfortable lifestyle in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and set me down on the western coast of Mexico. Big difference. Spiritually, mentally and physically. Before we left NC for the mission field, a Pastor friend gave my husband a plaque that said, "where God guides he provides." Never have truer words been spoken.
I am an organizer. Everything has to have it's own place, neatly and precise, altho I don't arrange my cans in the cabinet to all face forward. Well, actually I do, but they get messed up. lol. So, when hubby changes plans in mid-stream, I get all bent out of shape, which then tears up my insides. I make lists, set goals, love New Year's so I can start all over, but when I can't reach that goal I become defeated. Through all this chaos, I have learned that just whispering, "Lord help me," will bring a sense of calm. Then I retreat to the computer and begin to write. Writing, for me, is the catharsis for all things negative that enters my life. It may be in the form of devotions or fiction. I've even tried my hand at poetry and song-writing.
So, I hope you enjoy following me on this journey to publication, for I truly desire to see my work in print.
